CSA Project - Coqueria

The company ThyssenKrupp is building a steel plant, Companhia Siderúrgica do Atlântico (CSA), scheduled to open in 2009. It shall produce approximately 5 million tonnes of steel a year and is located in the town of Santa Cruz in Rio de Janeiro state. The factory is being built in an area of approximately 10,000,000 m², and shall create around 3,500 direct jobs, substantially promoting the economy of Rio de Janeiro state.

After much effort, Interoceanica completed the presentation of its execution proposals and was announced the winner of the China to Brazil transportation project for the coking plant for TKCSA. The transportation will involve handling approximately 350,000 tonnes of steel, metallic structures, heavy project and outsize cargo and bulk loads.


CSA Project - AIR LIQUIDE

Continuing our active participation in the project for the new CSA plant, we became one of the suppliers of the transport scheme for VW Logistics, which is the logistics operator in Brazil of the French company “Air LIQUIDE”, and which is operating the CSA project by means of its partnership with the French GEODIS Project. On behalf of VW Logistics, we are responsible for receiving and warehousing the equipment in Rio de Janeiro, arriving mainly from China and Europe.
